From the Newfoundlander Merchantile Journal of 1 July 1819 an announcement as follows: "Married on Saturday evening (the 19th instant) by the Rev Ninian Bar, Weslyan Missionary, the Rev Thomas Hickson, to Miss Jane, second daughter of Mr William Garland of Lower Island Cove, Conception Bay." The only month in 1819 that has the 19th on a Saturday was June. - WJG
