Notes for: Henry Frederick Garland

According to ref MOSD, there was a Henry Garland who died at the above date at age 73. He was the Deputy Sheriff of Nfld. for several years. The dates seem about right but lineage has not been confirmed. Ref [HOW] confirms date and location of death and says that he was Duputy Sheriff of the Harbour Grace district for several years.
Henry married his first cousin once removed, Elizabeth Pike. She was the daughter of Charlotte Garland. Charlotte was the dau of Charles Davis Garland. Charles's brother was John Davis Garland, Henry's father.
