announce the passing of Olga Benson at Pleasantview Towers on Wednesday, May 30, 2018, at the age of 83 years. 
Predeceased by her parents Anastasia and William Benson; and brothers Harvey, William and Leslie. Leaving to mourn 
husband Jonah; daughter Valarie Benson (Jason Byrne); son Stephen (Colleen); grandson Riley Benson-Byrne; granddaughters 
Amanda and Michaela Benson; sister Sylvia Phalen (Douglas); brother Roy (Betty) and sisters-in-law June Benson and 
Geneva Ivany (Ross); also, a number of other relatives and friends. In 1974, Olga along side her husband Joe, became 
co-founders of Woodland Nurseries. A strong family run business that Olga took pride in. The family would like to thank 
the staff of 2 North East for the care and compassion shown towards Olga during her stay there over the last few years. 
Resting at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road, on Friday June 1 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will take 
place at St. Augustine’s Anglican Church on Saturday June 2 at 2 p.m. with interment to following at the Anglican 
Cemetery, Kenmount Road. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in her memory may be made to Alzheimer’s Society. To
